What is StarBook?
Starbook is a self-managed booking platform that allows stars to be booked directly by fans, brands, and organisations for events and engagements, on their own terms.
Do I need a manager or promoter to use StarBook?
No. StarBook removes the need for promoters. You manage your own bookings, pricing, and availability directly.
How do I get paid?
Clients pay upfront through StarBook via M-Pesa or card. Once a booking is confirmed, payment is secured. Payouts are made according to Starbook’s payment schedule.
How much does it cost to join?
Signing up is completely free. StarBook charges a 10% commission, deducted from your payout after a booking is successfully completed.
Can I choose which bookings to accept?
Yes. You receive booking requests and decide which ones to accept or decline.
What types of engagements can I offer?
You may offer appearances, hosting or MC work, corporate engagements, virtual engagements, coaching or mentorship, personalised shout-outs, social experiences, and celebrations such as weddings or birthdays.
What happens if a client cancels?
If a booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, the client is eligible for a refund. Late cancellations are handled according to StarBook’s cancellation policy.

How do I book a star?
Browse available stars, submit a booking request, and make payment through the platform. The star will review and confirm your request.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through StarBook.
Do I pay the full amount upfront?
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the engagement.
What happens if the star declines my request?
If your request is declined, your payment is refunded in full.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the event are eligible for a refund. Please review our Refunds & Cancellation Policy for details.

Currently, Starbook focuses on bookings within Kenya, with plans to expand.
